Privacy
Moonlight Peaks Codex does not require an account or collect account profile data.
Local checklist storage
The Personal Checklist feature stores item IDs in your browser on this device only. That list does not leave your device. Clearing site data, using private mode, or blocking storage will remove or prevent checklist persistence. We cannot recover it because it stays on your device.
Site analytics (Google Analytics)
On the public site we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and how people use the codex—for example which pages and tools are visited, roughly how long sessions last, and which device or browser types appear most often. This helps us improve navigation, content, and reliability.
Analytics may receive standard web visit details such as page paths, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser information, and high-level interaction signals (for example that a search or tool was used, and result counts or length buckets). We do not send the free-text content of Finder search queries to analytics—only non-identifying length buckets and result counts.
Google processes this data under its own terms and privacy policy. You can learn more from Google’s privacy documentation or use browser controls, extensions, or Google’s tools that limit advertising or analytics identifiers where available.
Local checklist data stays on your device and is separate from analytics. Analytics does not read or sync your saved checklist items as a personal profile.
